ReelMusic is an iPhone app for business accounts on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Those accounts cannot use the trending music library, because the platform licence covers private use only. ReelMusic reads your video and composes an original track that fits it, licensed for commercial use on paid plans.
Long, about 120 words
ReelMusic is an iPhone app that turns a short video into its own soundtrack. You pick a clip; the app analyses its mood, energy and cut rhythm, says in plain words what it heard, and composes an original track built for that clip in about a minute. There is no prompt to write and no catalogue to search.
It exists because business and professional accounts on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube are locked out of the trending music library. That library is licensed for private use only, and in Germany law firms acting for record labels send warning letters to companies that use it commercially. Tracks made in ReelMusic on a paid plan carry a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free commercial licence that stays valid after the subscription ends.
ReelMusic is made by Roman Koch, a solo developer in Berlin.

BRAND RULES
The name
ReelMusic is one word, with a capital R and a capital M. Not "Reel Music", not "Reelmusic", not "REELMUSIC" outside a headline that sets every word in capitals.
The logo
Use the files above as they are. Keep clear space around the logo of at least the height of the letter R. Do not rebuild it by setting the name in another typeface.

Original proportions, original colours, plain background.

Do not stretch it, recolour it, add effects, or place it on a busy photograph.
HOW IT WORKS
- You pick a video from your camera roll. That is the whole brief.
- The app analyses the clip and describes it back to you in one sentence, for example "Warm, unhurried nail studio moment".
- You can steer it with one tap on a vibe — Suggested, Cinematic, Epic, Calm, Electronic — and a Safe-to-Surprising slider. Both are optional.
- It composes an original track for that clip, in about a minute. You can generate more versions and compare them against the video.
- You export the finished video with the track, straight to the camera roll.
THE AI BEHIND IT
Video analysis runs on Google Gemini models. Music generation uses the Mureka model, accessed through the infrastructure provider WaveSpeedAI PTE. LTD., Singapore. Every track is generated from scratch for one clip; no existing recording is reused or sampled.
Providers may change. The current ones are always named in section 11 of the Terms.
WHAT THE LICENCE COVERS
Please state this accurately. The short version:
COVERED
A track generated on a paid plan, or with trial credits, comes with a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence for any lawful use, including commercial use. It survives the end of the subscription: videos posted while the plan was active stay licensed forever.
NOT COVERED
Tracks made under free access without credits are for private, non-commercial use only. Licences are never exclusive: users may not register a track with a collecting society such as GEMA or with a fingerprinting system such as YouTube Content ID, and may not sell tracks as standalone music.
ReelMusic does not control the enforcement systems of social platforms and does not promise that an automated system will never raise a claim in error. The full wording is in the Terms, sections 7 to 9.

BACKGROUND: WHY BUSINESS ACCOUNTS GET MUTED
Instagram and TikTok license their music libraries for personal use. The moment an account switches to Business or Professional, most of the catalogue disappears, and using it anyway can lead to muted audio, blocked posts or a warning letter. In Germany, claims of several thousand euros have been reported for a single Reel.

STORY ANGLES
Directions other writers have found interesting. Take any of them, or none.
- The licence gap nobody reads. Millions of small businesses use platform music that was never licensed for them, and only find out when the letter arrives.
- Music made for one video, then thrown away. What it means for a track to exist for a single 15-second clip and nothing else.
- Who owns AI music. Purely AI-generated music may not attract copyright at all in Germany, the EU or the United States. ReelMusic handles this with a contractual permission rather than a claim of ownership — an honest answer to a problem the whole field has.
- A one-person app company. One developer in Berlin, shipping against Epidemic Sound, Suno and ElevenLabs.
